Greg Xander

I am the husband to my beautiful bride of 10 years and Dad to my amazing kids—the “tiger girl” and “lil’ monster.” I love a life filled with nerf guns, tricycles, footballs, foosball (though not so good at), movies (especially Predator), comic books (yes, still), things that get me outdoors—especially mowing, playing with my kids, or just being outside.

I love living in this land of Kirskville, where Ronzas reign and Pancake City rules. But I dream of living in a place where people live and thrive as lovers of the Cross. A tribe of genuine followers of Christ, of trusting and faithful friends. If you live for that same hope—join us! Come follow in this journey, this adventure, of discovering “home” where Christ reigns, the Spirit reveals, and you are pursued with a furious love. Are you ready for a braver, deeper kind of love? Scott Casey

You may not see Scott at a Tuesday night Fuel service...but he is EVERYWHERE. Scott holds the magic that makes the projector work, the lights change color, the microphones stay at the perfect volume and the music mix perfectly! He pretty much knows how to work everything that everyone else doesn't :)

He is engaged to be married to his beautiful fiancee, Amanda. They are very much in love. Scott is a Computer Science major and will be completing his Senior year. He also enjoys video games, math and purple popsicles (actually, I made that up).

Scott has a real servant's heart and humbly leads the "behind the scenes" tech team for the BSU. Believe me, you want to meet him. He is fabulous.

Heidi Geisbuhler

Heidi's facebook info description says "If my life were any more exciting, I'd need a stunt double." And it's true! Heidi is a world class traveler who has trotted much of the globe. Her adventures have taken her many places, from the latin culture of Spain to the archeology sites of Israel. Just this past summer she went on an epic adventure to the West, where she climbed mountains and traveled to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

She is a Philosophy and Religion major and will be completing her Senior year. Heidi has been the fearless leader of the BSU's friday night coffee house called Common Grounds. If anyone knows how to wield the power of a warm chocolate chip cookie and a custom-made milkshake--it's Heidi.

Zach Vicars

Hey guys,

 My name’s Zach. I’m a junior Philosophy/Religion and Linguistics Major here at Truman. I love adventuring with my wife, enjoying the outdoors, and walking daily with God. I’m originally from St. Charles, but my wife, Amy, and I migrated up North two years ago. We love the slow-paced, friendly atmosphere of Kirksville. You might see us perusing the farmer’s market, milling around in our garden, or riding our bicycle built for two. Still, as much as we love Kirksville, we love leaving town even more. We’ve taken several adventures all over the country – to the Grand Canyon, Colorado, and the Islands of Hawaii.

 

Some things about me: I love running, peanut butter, Ancient Greek, sliding down handrails, backpacking through deserted wilderness, and sharing stories with friends. I also love serving with the wonderful people of the BSU as we journey toward a life full of Jesus Christ. If you want to know anything more about me, just ask.

 

Amy Vicars

Hola, todos! Me llamo Amy. I am a Spanish major and going into my junior year. I was married last summer to my fabulous husband, Zach. We love traveling and hope to see all 50 states together (29 by summer's end). I love photography and am constantly amazed at how beautiful God made His creation! God has blessed me in SO many ways and I want others to understand the hope and joy that Christ brings. Zach and I would love to go oversees and become missionaries to those who don't know about the love that will change their life.

I love tortillas and thunderstorms. And I believe that Windex can clean anything. I love laughing and reading books late into the night. We foster dogs at our house and have had everything from a 120 lb Mastiff to a litter of newborn Cocker Spaniel puppies. God has given me so much life to enjoy :)

Jacob 'Biscuit' Ratliff

Word! My name is Jacob Ratliff, but everyone knows me as Biscuit around here, and you should too. Sentence! This isn’t too important, but I’m a psychology major. Paragraph! This year I will be Intern with the Music and Encouragement teams. I’m the resident drummer, and I’m weird. Page! I love music (Coheed and Cambria is the best band ever), and I like creating it, listening to it, and writing it. Whole novel! Video games, cheering people up, Pokemon, skateboards, photography, coffee, and Victory Service (my band) are some other things I enjoy. My dreams are to be a stuntman and a counselor. Amy Bockelman is pretty. I love to make people smile, and spread Jesus’ love to any and everyone. Also worship is a big thing to me, because music is one of God’s biggest blessings. Regardless of who you are, music lifts you up. Talk about baller. I get great joy out of introducing people to new bands, so if you got a new one for me or want some more music, let me know! Andi Sadler

Hello Friends! My name is Andi Sadler, I am in the first leg of my senior year(s). I will graduate Dec 2010, so I’ll be around for a while. I’m from Jefferson City, MO and will be graduating with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I’m hoping to have a career in the counseling field somewhere, maybe in an orphanage or youth home. I have a passion for working with adolescents. I love music, movies, and books. If you come visit me, I will probably be neglecting my studies and partaking of any or all of the previously mentioned activities. I will be interning in the Service department this year. So if you have any ideas or events you are interested in, just contact me and I’ll be more than happy to discuss it with you!

I have been at the Truman State BSU since June of 2000 and have really enjoyed working with the great students here. Before I came to Truman, I was in the Navy for 9 years, worked for the federal government for 4 years and was a church pastor for 10 years. I am married to Vickie who is my ministry assistant at the BSU and we have two children, Brian and Kimberly. They both live in Columbia and have become Tiger fans – Go Bulldogs. Several years ago, God really helped me understand what He wanted me to spend my life doing. It is found in Ephesians 3:14-19. I want people to know the depths of God's love for them so they will become the person God dreamed them to be when he created them. The BSU statement says it this way – Fully Living, Humbly Serving and Joyfully Sharing. I work with the Campus Missionary, interns and BSU student staff to try and make this a reality in student's lives. Everything we do works in some way toward accomplishing this vision. I hope to get an opportunity to meet and talk with you about the full life God has for all of us.
